Shakira, dressed in a peach-colored sundress, held onto both boys’ hands as they walked alongside the music superstar. Despite being flanked by burly security guards, Shakira smiled for the cameras and even received a sweet kiss from Sasha on her hand. It is believed that Shakira is hoping to make the move from Spain to Florida and make it her new home base. However, the Grammy-winning singer has recently faced difficulties as prosecutors in Spain have called for her to serve an eight-year prison sentence and pay a fine of €23 million (£19.3 million) after allegedly becoming involved in a €14.5 million (£12.1 million) tax fraud case. The Spanish newspaper, El Pais, reports that Shakira is accused of failing to pay taxes in Spain between 2012 and 2014 but claims she did not live in the country during that period. The prosecutor’s office has requested an eight-year and two-month prison sentence for six alleged crimes against the Public Treasury.

Shakira was all set for the Miami heat in a floaty sundress. The Colombian star, whose full name is Shakira Isabel Mebarak Ripoll, argues that she had legal residency in the Bahamas during the time period and did not spend 183 days or more per year in Spain, which is the threshold to be considered a tax resident. She has been accused of hiding her income by using tax havens, which Shakira vehemently denies. She is seeking a full acquittal of all offenses. A representative for the She Wolf hitmaker told Metro.co.uk: “Shakira has always cooperated and abided by the law, demonstrating impeccable conduct as an individual and a taxpayer, and faithfully following the counsel of PriceWaterhouseCoopers, a prestigious and globally recognized tax firm.”

Shakira vehemently denied allegations of tax fraud against her, stating that the Spanish Tax Office continues to violate her rights and pursue baseless cases. She remains confident that her innocence will be proven through the judicial process. Earlier this year, Shakira split from Barcelona legend Pique after more than a decade together. In a joint statement confirming the end of their relationship, they asked for privacy for the well-being of their children. Shakira was recently caught in a controversial situation when her words were taken out of context, leading to accusations of tax evasion. However, she clarified her stance and called the allegations baseless.
